Cedric Satchell

PenArk was founded on one simple concept; help others achieve their goals so they can live their dream.

Originally branded SKRMusic, Cedric Satchell founded this production house with the sole intent to help a friend make a demo. Word quickly spread and eventually SKRMusic had curated a roster of aspiring artists from all over Southern California.

With the amount of talent on hand producing quality tracks a mixtape was made and released under the newly formed PenArk imprint.

As PenArk’s popularity grew the network quickly expanded. PenArk artists played shows throughout California, and hosted a monthly showcase in both Hollywood and Pasadena. Some PenArk artists found track placement on TV and other mixtapes from notable brands.

The buzz eventually landed Cedric and his crew in talks with a major label deal. Due to circumstances the opportunity fell through and PenArk slowly faded away.

Fast forward to 2020 and Cedric’s discovery of LoFi. This fusion of jazz and hip hop had created a new space in music where the producer was the artist.

Releasing his first solo project, “Beautiful Situation: Cali Winter”, in December 2020 under stage name “Zavier Quinn”, Cedric found a new creative spark, and a re-purpose for PenArk which still aligned with its original intent.

Blowing the dust off the old PenArk imprint with renewed purpose, Cedric set out with the goal clearly in sight: Educate, educate, educate the independent artist.

Now branded a “boutique label” the mission continues. Help others achieve their goals and live their dreams by featuring, mentoring, and educating producers.
