Daniela Lugo is a bilingual Latina actress and filmmaker born and raised in Mexico City. She is currently living in LA. She has always wanted to pursue acting and filmmaking.
Since a very early age, Daniela has always shown true passion for the entertainment industry by creating shows and movies for her family and friends.
In 2013 she begins studying acting, filmmaking, singing, and dancing. But it was in 2016 when she discovered that she wanted to become a filmmaker while working at the Oscar winning movie “Roma” by the incredible Alfonso Cuarón.
Daniela moved to New York at the age of 18 pursuing her acting and filmmaking career in New York City, where she studied in many prestigious schools like Stella Adler (Class of 2019), Broadway Dance Center (ISVP) and Steps on Broadway.
She was very lucky to be accepted at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (Class 2022), were Anne Hathaway, Danny DeVito, Paul Rudd and Jessica Chastain, among many other notable actors studied acting.
Daniela graduated in May of 2022, and after that, she has been pursuing acting and filmmaking professionally.
She tries to bring characters alive through her work as an actress.
Daniela has been lucky to have worked with many prestigious filmmakers here in Hollywood like Chris Stokes, Alfonso Cuarón and Bella Thorne, among others. She booked a movie that is going to be on a major platform that many of you have. Stay tuned!
Now, talking about her work as a filmmaker, Daniela tries to tell stories that deserve to be told. Stories that feel relatable. Through her projects, she also tries to tell stories about her LatinX Community.
Right now, she is producing a short film in Mexico that is going to be about how hard it is to make the decision of leaving your home country to pursue the so- called American Dream. The name of the project is “March of the Penguins” (La Marcha de los Pingüinos). It’s going to premiere in June this year in Mexico and is gonna be distributed it in Latin America and in the US.
One of her projects it’s going to premiere in May this year here in Los Angeles, the name is “THE WIFI DATE”. It is a comedy about a funny romantic misunderstanding. Follow her on Instagram to get updates about her projects ( @daniela_lugo_mtz ).
Actively producing films in both her home country and in the US, Daniela is now living in Los Angeles, California where she has worn many hats within the theatre, television, and the film industry in a relatively short period of time.
