Born in Belgium in 1993, Gauthier bought his first camera when he entered college, where he studied communication and anthropology. Since then, time passed and the D70 nikon became a full-frame D750, but the eye behind it stayed the same.
Gauthier learned photography mostly by himself, spending hours and hours trying to figure out how things work, reading books, chatting with other photographers, newbies or confirmed. One thing came clear to his mind: as his choices of study would show, the human is what interests him.
Whether it’s a photo of the streets of Paris or of the mountains, human is always there, somewhere. He tries to depict the beauty of everyday moments, claiming each of them are unique. His moto? “A miracle happened today: the sun rose”.
