Is a film producer, actor and screenwriter whose production company, New Girl Pictures, focuses on creating content made for and by women. After many years of auditioning as an actor, she decided to put her energy towards writing and producing material of her own rather than wait for the phone to ring!

New Girl Pictures focuses not just on content, but also on creating opportunities for women early in their Hollywood careers. The company’s latest project was the first feature film for the vast majority of its crew. Laura has spoken on many different podcasts about the importance of creating community and supporting other women in the industry so that we can all help bring about much-needed positive changes in the kind of material we see on our film and television screens.

Laura’s first feature film, To the New Girl, features an all-woman cast and crew and is streaming worldwide on platforms like Tubi and the Alice Movies Channel. The film won best feature from a first-time filmmaker at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in 2021. Most recently, Laura is producing and acting in a new audio drama podcast called St. Mary’s School (for Children with the Stigmata) – a spooky mystery set at a Catholic high school.
