Ofer Yakov

Ofer has combined reach of 75k followers on social media, He is very active on Instagram, Facebook and lately started to post more on TikTok. 11 years ago back in Israel, he was exposed to the world of photography for the first time, he picked up his mom’s camera and started to play with that, he was shooting his friends and himself riding their dirt bikes, his desire to get better results pushed him to explore more and more about photography and its aesthetics, and in result his passion just got bigger and bigger every day. A year after, he decided to sell his dirt bike and bought his first professional camera – Canon 7D. Back in 2012, Ofer being drafted to the Israeli Defense Forces as an army photographer at the age of 18. Ofer got exposed for the first time in the world of videography. By tackling bigger projects within the army, Ofer developed the skills necessary to become a professional Director and Videographer, at the same time he made a few passion projects that went viral on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram, and started to get exposure and gain followers, also got many offers from brands and companies in Israel to create for them videos similar videos, and eventually after releasing from the army ,back in 2015, he opened his first business for video productions in Israel. For 3 full years, Ofer developed his video production and manage to help many brands to increase their profits and make a bigger impact in Israel, he felt that he is looking for the next challenge and made the decision he wants to move to Los Angeles. The main reason he wanted to do that was to take his filmmaking career to the next level and surround himself with inspiring and talented people. After officially getting the approval for his artist visa, Ofer ordered a flight ticket and flew by himself to Los Angeles. Ofer had no future projects or anything booked in Los Angeles but he believed in himself so much. His exceptions were very high from the beginning and he immediately managed to make some great connections and created very cool content with known people in the industry of the filmmaking and the extreme sport, which was awesome but unfortunately it wasn’t that profitable like he hoped it would be. Ofer believed in his way and didn’t give up, he kept doing what he loves and put his passion over money. After 6 months of him pushing hard everyday, Ofer got to a point that it was seems like he is about to run out of his savings money and then it happened. All of the doors Ofer invested opened in front of his eyes and everything payed off. Ofer got offers for big scale projects and campaigns and ended up managing huge productions for Dolce & Gabbana, Omega and Red-Bull. Ofer has learned through that experience a really important lesson: “You never know how close you are to your goal, never give up and trust the process” Corona time was a very challenging and unexpected period of time, but it also gave us the opportunity to stop for a moment and think. Today, Ofer is very happy in his life position but he defiantly feels he can and want to do more. He is asking himself the right questions; What makes him happy and what makes him less happy, why he started and why he is doing what he is doing. By having those answers Ofer is connecting the dots and working to find the next exciting challenges that will fill his day to day with happiness and Meaning.
