Quie Anthony

better known by his stage / entertainment company name “Q Bwoy” is an official Hollywood Reggae Ambassador with well over 25yrs of experience, specializing in Reggae, Dancehall, Urban Music, R&B, Soca & Hip Hop shows and weekly night club events. Quie is also responsible for the longest running California Reggae / Dancehall Hollywood club promotions, with his legendary Jamaican Gold hitting Los Angeles streets way back in 1995. He has had the honor to produce shows for major recording artists & celebrities including Shaggy, Damian Marley, Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Barrington Levy, Rayvon, Kes Band, Bunji Garlin, KRS One, Mr. Vegas, Baby Cham, Lady Saw, Mos Def, The Rootz, Wayne Wonder, Chris Brown, E-40, Too Short, Gyptian, Elephant Man, Serani, Red Rat, Kevin Lyttle, Mrs. Triniti, Collie Budz, Beres Hammond, Buju Banton, Shabba Ranks, Tarus Riley, Sanchez, Mad Lion, Born Jamericans, YG, Jr Reid, Black Eyed Peas, and Many More Award Nominated Artist.

Quie has toured around, playing music as a Dee Jay in multiple countries such as Morocco, Japan, Mexico, and of course the US.. Q Bwoy Productions is a cornerstone for caribbean / afrocentric cultural events, concerts and festivals in the Los Angeles California region. Before the 2020 pandemic you could catch him at weeklies such as Jamaican Gold Sundays, Poom Poom Tuesdays and Saturday nights on the mic at Shabbaaaaa LA. Since LA’s reopening June 2021 to be cautious Quie only brought back one of his weekly reggae nights, Poom Poom Tuesdays inside the El Cid on Sunset, with a plan to relaunch the legendary Jamaican Gold Sundays hopefully in the spring of 2022, bigger and badder then ever, considering the pandemic is under control by then.

When I asked him why would he dedicate his life for the past 2 almost 3 decades to putting on some of the best reggae / dancehall events in LA, he simply answered “Truth is although I love doing what I do, trying to unify all of LA with my universal parties, the main purpose is because of the culture. To be able to give a South Central, ghetto youth a sense of their own African/ Caribbean diaspora is magical. To see Latinos enjoying there Caribbean West Indian haritage is amazing. To see Asians experience such freedom over beautiful loving riddims is rewarding. For White Americans and Europeans, well we already know how much they love everyone’s culture, and so much they intertwine it as there own.. Lol.. And to see my African And Caribbean brothers and sisters able to sit back and watch everyone come together in a spirit of one love, respecting and enjoying our music and culture, dancing and mingling with one another until the early morning is simply priceless!!! True I may not get a lot of support from corporate sponsors or never become wealthy, famous or even truly appreciated by the city of LA for what I’m doing or have done over time in the City of Los Angeles, Still God has blessed me with some of the best people, times and shows ever; And for the culture, the real will always recognize real.. Lol. Culture is power and can even heal the lost, broken hearted and the wounded. For if you don’t know yourself or your amazing history you are truly like a tree without roots; extremely easy to toppel over”.
