Shanny Slay A Star On The Rise

Shannyslay who’s real name is La Shaundra Erwin was born in Los Angeles and raised in Pomona California. She started her pursuit in the industry as a model in 2010 by walking various fashion shows competing in runway competitions, which she placed 2nd & 3rd in Miss Plus Top Model which was created by Juliette Hagerman a former soul train dancer that became very successful on her own in the entertainment industry. Shanny also competed in Miss Voluptuous Southern California Urban Models Tournament for the first time and came in 2nd which was really nice.

She was featured in music videos as a model and dancer. She worked on award shows as management overseeing the talent and handled castings for them as well. NAFCA Awards in 2016 and C2 TV Awards were two award shows that she was very involved in. Shanny was also seen on Love and Hip Hop Hollywood as one the partygoers for Zelle’s fashion show.

Shanny took a break from the industry due to personal reasons but came back in 2020 when she began to follow another passion by creating her own content as a visual artist. She garnered credit as director, producer and creative director while doing so. The first visual she created was her bday visual which definitely gave her a taste of what’s it like to create your own and being in control. She was featured in different articles and was on the cover of DARK Magazine which was a beautiful experience that brought some exposure to her abilities as a visual artist, director, producer and creative director. She enrolled in Los Angeles Film School to pursue a degree in the business to learn more about the business side of the entertainment industry. She figured why not learn how to work both sides by gaining more knowledge, create new experiences, network and build up her portfolio. She wanted to be more knowledgeable so when it’s time for her business to take off she would have the notoriety, credibility and tools to do so and so she did. She graduated Los Angeles Film School with straight A’s as a Summa Cum Laude and is now in the works of building her production company and agency. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with and someone to look out for. They say the skies the limit, but clearly she’s above the stars.
