Troy Lyons

His name is TLz (Tea-eLz). TLz was raised in South Central Los Angeles in the Crenshaw district but grew up in Gardena california. “Yea I stayed off slauson and Van Ness with my mom and younger brother but she worked in Beverly Hills so we would be at my grandmothers in Gardena. All of us, like 7 cousins lol. Love you grandma! He is what He likes to call a super creative. TLz is a songwriter, engineer, producer and creative director. He takes a passion in creating other creators by way of music. Music is a basis of infinite possibilities he explained “I do music because I love to do music and will always do music but growth is inevitable and I am here to help artist grow past being just that, an artist. We make creators”.

He focuses on tuning in with an artist and help bring the art out of them. He has worked with a slew independent artist as well as major artist. TLz has over 10 years in the professional
Music industry and has been on tour all
Over the world.

He gave us a brief insight of the way he came about doing what he is right now and explained: “I was at a low point in my career, I didn’t know what I really wanted to do. I ended up meeting a guy by the name of Bryant McKinnie through a mutual friend they had named Lace. Bryant then introduced TLz to the queen of hip hop Lil Kim. He explained that she was the one to help him see that he was more than an artist and began to groom him as a creator. “Kim is a beautiful person.” He added. He has been on mixtapes and albums with some of the biggest artist in the industry. “Yea mane, Kim gave me a shot and actually helped me become a better professional person overall, coming from Gardena, California you would never expect someone like her to be the one to lead you through. I thank god that I’m blessed to have family and friends that support me.” He has recently started a creative production company called Starting 5VE.

TLz is opening studios in the south and the west coast while traveling to work with artist.
